OneOrchestra presents

Earth Music: A concert beneath Gaia

From September to November 2025, OneOrchestra toured the UK and Germany with Earth Music. A concert series performed beneath Luke Jerram’s Gaia — a seven-metre replica of our planet.

Conducted by Michael Amadi, the orchestra moved between centuries and genres: Beethoven and Vivaldi alongside Coldplay and Hans Zimmer. Classical precision met cinematic emotion, creating a soundscape that felt timeless and alive.

Sherborne Abbey

17-piece orchestra of strings and woodwinds for an immersive performance.

The program was designed around universe-themed works, combining classical and contemporary pieces to create the sound of a full orchestra within the Abbey’s unique acoustics.

Atmospheric lighting and natural soundscapes, enhancing the sense of space and connection to the planet. Audiences were invited to reflect on both the beauty of our world and the responsibility we share in protecting it.

The Core at Corby Cube

For the Corby show we had a six-piece ensemble formed a circle around the piano, placed beneath Gaia at the centre. The audience surrounded the musicians, creating a 360° experience that invited listeners inside the performance.

This setup fostered connection, making every note and gesture feel shared. Beneath the illuminated Earth, the concert became a collective experience, uniting sound, space and reflection.

Seed paper x Sustainability

These concerts also carried a message of sustainability: our planet is the only home we have, and it’s our responsibility to care for it. To bring this to life, all print materials were created on seed paper — cards with information printed on paper embedded with flower and vegetable seeds.

After the event, audience members could plant them in their gardens, letting something beautiful grow. This initiative is part of OneOrchestra’s ongoing commitment to make every performance a little greener, leaving a positive mark on the planet wherever we go.

Educational.

The performance at Dom St. Blasien is designed as a day-long school workshop, welcoming students and their teachers to experience live orchestral music up close. OneOrchestra will perform for around 900 students, sharing both the music and the messages of the Earth Music program.

The workshop will be interactive and performed in a 360° setup, surrounding the audience to create a fully immersive experience. Students will be invited to sing along to selected pieces in German, learn about the orchestra, and see improvisation unfold live before them. The aim is to inspire the next generation, connecting young audiences to music, creativity, and the wonder of the natural world.
